Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rice (long-grain or basmati)
  • 2 cups water or broth
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a pan, melt the butter and sauté the garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add the rice and stir for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Pour in water or broth, season with salt and pepper, and bring to a boil.
  5. Cover, reduce heat to low, and let simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Turn off the heat and let it sit for 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve.
