Ingredients:
- 1 cup rice (long-grain or basmati)
- 2 cups water or broth
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions:
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a pan, melt the butter and sauté the garlic until fragrant.
- Add the rice and stir for 1-2 minutes.
- Pour in water or broth, season with salt and pepper, and bring to a boil.
- Cover, reduce heat to low, and let simmer for 15 minutes.
- Turn off the heat and let it sit for 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork.
- Garnish with parsley and serve.
